The Australian Gold Conference 2026 (AGC26) was an epic 3 days of Gold & silver (and platinum) love. Having followed gold and silver online for years, and being a stacker, collector, nerd, it was time to come out and play in real life – with fellow gold lovers. And spoiler alert – it was glorious.
Hosted at Sydney’s Crown Towers from 13-15 October, the Pearl Ballroom was the place to be, rubbing shoulders with miners, stackers and Industry heavyweights. It was a fantastic event, with that Gold Lady (Kerry Stevenson, founder of the conference) in her element, bursting with life and love for the shiny stuff and the Industry and people that makes it all happen in Australia.
Key Takeaways:
- If you’re even slightly interested in gold, you need be there: the conference is built to welcome newbies, with open areas for meeting miners, dealers and other stackers.
- You’ll learn more than you expect: even if you think you know enough, the keynotes and panels are funny, sharp and nothing like a dry lecture.
- The people are the best part: from lunch with Rick Rule to the gala dinner, the conversations were worth the ticket price, and the conference was amazing.
Attending the Australian Gold Conference 2026
I’m not a miner or fund manager, and as a stacker, collector, and a nerd (I do love my superhero coins), this view is from someone who is into bullion but hasn’t ventured out to any bullion event before.
And as my first Gold Conference, I’ll tell you know right now, anyone slightly interested in precious metals should go to the next conference. But why listen to little old me? Well, let me tell you about the Top 5 Golden Moments – the things I loved the most about the conference…. and maybe that may convince you.
1. Meeting Rick Rule at the Australian Gold Conference 2026

Rick Rule. Rick Rule. Rick Rule.
Rick is one of my all time favourite commentators, his recent interview with another fave of mine Robert Kiyosaki was amazing. The video “Top 5 reasons to own gold and silver right now” was a classic. Rick is naturally funny, super smart and logical. And he loves the industry more then anyone. And I already follow him online, I’m in the Rule Classroom, I join all of his online Conferences. So you can say I am a FAN.
So when I heard Rick was heading to Sydney, I knew I had to meet him, and I was NOT disappointed.
His keynote was phenomenal and every panel he appeared on, was fantastic.
For example, he gave us some great data on the trillions of dollars of US debt, the US inflation that will cause Gold to rise and the value in holding the “best of the best” miners in the next few years. Too many wonderful insights from Rick – he should write a book.
I bought the Gourmet VIP conference ticket and I got to have lunch with Rick Rule, alongside a bunch of other awesome people (Hedley Widdup, Sean Russo, Sam Lawrie), and we had lunch with Rick, his wife Bonnie, Kerry and other VIP attendees and it was the highlight of the conference.

I sat across from Rick and loved every minute of it.
Thinking – oh crap, that is Rick Rule….
yes I am a grown man, Rick isn’t in BTS, But he is legendary. And the experience was the BEST.
2. If you are Slightly Interested in GOLD – You should be there
This one is about the amazing people, first up. Kerry was fantastic and everyone was so friendly, and I spoke to conference attendees about Gold and miners for 3 days straight. It was so much fun, swapping tips on miners, speculating on gold prices, openly counting the ways we love Rick Rule, I was like a pig in you know what.
The conference went out of it’s way to be welcoming to gold newbies. And it was designed to have open areas for meeting people, talking to miners, learning and understanding gold.

As a Gold lover, I seriously believe it deepened my ideas and affection to precious metals. And it opened up greater appreciation for miners, and bullion dealers, and the people that work in the Industry.
So if you are slightly interested in gold, even just a smidge – you may walk out a different person after the experience.
I seriously loved it.
3. We Don’t Need No Education: What I learned at AGC26
No you do need an education, because I went into the conference thinking – out of all the people I know, I probably know the most about precious metals, mining and gold in general. So I thought I would maybe get some nice stock tips, and have a great time.
But I severely underestimated how much I would learn. And that is the thing about gold, it’s a shiny rock but there are so many perspectives, and ideas from really smart people presenting at the conference.
Here are a few things that stuck out from my notes:
- 2025 was the first year that silver outperformed gold ever
- It takes about 2 years for the gold market to wash out and come back again (we have around another 1.8 years before the next gold run)
- Keep an eye on the Gold to Dow (uptrend) and gold to silver (downtrend) charts
- There was so much more! Some amazing charts I took screen grabs of too.
As much as I loved the miners, the keynote speakers and special panels were my second fave part of the conference (after lunch with Rick).
Luckily, videos will be distributed after the conference, so I can rewatch them all again.
The content was so valuable, and focused on educating and entertaining the attendees. And luckily, most gold lovers (and presenters) aren’t known for their normality, so the information wasn’t dry. It was usually funny, delivered seriously and insightful.
4. The Gold Industry Awards Gala Dinner (and what rhymes with Four N Twenty?)
Vince Sorrenti! Vince was the MC the Annual Gold Industry Awards Gala Dinner, and it was corker. NQR jokes are my thing, and obviously, the crowd loved it too. Politicians copped it, rightly so – but Vince was a classic. The audience loved him and I recall looking at people at my table, as we would just laugh and laugh.

Rick Rule got to have a nice fireside chat with Kerry, as we heard more about his early years – which was great. And Rick provided another angle to his wisdom, as he humbly offered advice to the audience. That was great too as I feverishly wrote notes into my phone.
And it was great to see the Industry hand out various awards, and raise money for Tour De Cure, the Australian Charity that raises money to fund cancer research and related projects. It was a great cause and the Dinner (and the food) was really fantastic. I met some nice Melbournian’s (and Sydney Siders) and I really had an amazing night.
5. You will Never never Know – If you Never Never Go
And that is honestly how I feel about the conference. There were so many things telling me I should just stay home. I had to take time off work, I left my 3 young children with grand parents, I didn’t know anyone, but I bought the expensive ticket, booked a hotel, paid for the Gala dinner – and thought I’ll see what happens. And what happened was fantastic, I met Rick Rule and many other people, and the whole event was just unbelievable.

There was never any point or thing where I thought, this is a bit shit, Kerry turned it on, and I loved every golden moment (pun intended)
And I think about others that love gold – or are a little interested, or like me think they know enough.
But gold, the people and everything that surrounds it, is just like the precious metal itself. You need to touch it and feel it. Experience it. In real life – and you will really appreciate it.
The Wrap Up: Is the Australian Gold Conference Worth Going to?
Heck Yes. if you take one thing from AGC26, it was Get some mentors, Get some education and eventually we can “Make Gold Great Again”.
What more can i say, except do what Kerry says – come to the next conference and bring a friend.
Gold is a thing. Be cool – being uncool – forget the Church of property and digital dollars – you need sound money. sound people. Golden Times.
So now I need to try get to the next conference in March 2027, it should be epic – on the Gold Coast.
If you were at the Australian Gold Conference 2026, tell me your favourite moments in the comments. If you weren’t, tell me what you would have asked the legendary Rick Rule.
btw – this post is my personal experience and general information, not financial advice.
That’s it – Cheers
Goran
