the founder story
I walked into my first bullion shop and it felt a bit weird
I’ve always enjoyed collecting things. And I was heavily into personal finance and read a book called “the Great Silver Bull” and that was it. It flicked a switch and I wanted to buy physical silver.
I had no idea where to start, so I googled “dealers in Melbourne” and I found one. And it was a weird experience. I was ushered from a waiting room into a little room where I bought a few coins.
Afterwards, I felt like I’d left a late night men’s club. I wasn’t sure if I did the right thing buying my first silver coins. And I didn’t think I paid a fair price either. It just didn’t feel right.
I persisted and found better places to buy bullion, but then I discovered more places that had coins I had never seen before. I dug deeper and found there was no good Australian resource for everyday buyers who might be beginners, stackers, collectors or investors.
I fell into all camps, and decided that a Bullion Club website would be a great idea to help people.
So I built it. And here I am.

Most buyers think there are only two or three places to buy bullion in Australia. There are dozens – and different dealers specialise in different things. You’re probably leaving money and options on the table.

You can’t verify if a dealer is trustworthy
Some dealers have been operating for decades. Others are brand new. With no central source of buyer reviews or verification, it’s hard to know who to trust – especially when buying online.

Limited releases sell out before you even know they exist
Perth Mint or some bullion dealer drops a stunning limited edition. It’s gone in hours. You only find out about it because you watch a video 12 hours after a livestream and they are all gone. There are other dealers that can help you out.

ABC Bullion, the Perth Mint, Gold Stackers, Ainslie Bullion – they’re all great dealers. But they write their content to sell their own products. That’s not a criticism – it’s just the reality. They’re businesses with products to move.
We’re not. We have no bullion to sell, no single dealer to favour, and no incentive to steer you anywhere except toward the best option for you. That’s a genuinely unusual thing in this market, and it’s the foundation everything else here is built on.
