Thompsons Coins and Collectables

Thompsons Coins and Collectables was founded by Matthew Thompson in 2021, drawing on over a decade in the numismatics trade – from Australia Post’s Philatelic Bureau, through VIP client service at Downies, to three years managing Sydney’s Town Hall Coins where he studied authentication and valuation. After a further stint as Senior Numismatist and Manager at Downies’ Melbourne flagship, Thompson opened his own physical store in Boronia Mall on 18 May 2024.

The shop specialises in coins, stamps and collectables, with Thompson also organising ANDA (Australian Numismatic Dealers Association) shows. It serves everyone from beginner collectors to established portfolios, open Tuesday to Thursday 10am–4pm and Saturdays 10am–3pm.
